    This informal event introduces the Chapter and its roles in the community. The year’s schedule of programs is discussed along with suggestions for future programming.

    Annual Gala & Scholarship Awards

    NOVEMBER

    The Gala is the major event of the year combining community awards, scholarship awards, AANHPI entertainment, and silent auction fundraiser. When available, elected officials attend, providing an opportunity for the community to build relationships with our representatives.

Chapter Programs

OCA Greater Tucson programs serve AANHPI needs. Frequency is determined by the capacity of our volunteer Board, availability of community subject matter experts, and budget.  Program initiatives include:

  • Voter education

  • Job and Career Skills for college students and young professionals

  • AANHPI Curriculum Mandate in Arizona, K-12 until passed

  • APA Y Advocate Leadership Workshop for high school students

  • Advocacy Art Contest for TUSD high school students
