Welcome to OCA Greater Tucson. We are the local chapter of OCA National, a leading non-profit based in Washington, D.C., dedicated to advancing the sociopolitical, and holistic well-being of AANHPIs. OCA Greater Tucson began in 2003 under Josie Gin as President with strong support from Dr. Ted Tong.
In 2025, OCA Greater Tucson was named Emerging Chapter of the Year for excellence in Membership Recruitment, Programs & Projects, Advocacy, Community Building, and Project of the Year.

How do I get involved?
We welcome all who wish to enhance the lives of AANHPI. If supporting programs that make a difference to high school and college students, young professionals, families, and seniors are some of your passions, you have found the right place. Email us a brief bio about your experience/skills and areas of interest. We will keep your interest on file and contact you when opportunities arise.
OCA Greater Tucson is run solely on the goodwill and enthusiasm of volunteers. The Chapter is led by a Board, headed by the Board President. Board Members are required to be OCA Greater Tucson members and are elected every two years and serve two-year terms.
What is OCA?
Founded in 1973 as the Organization of Chinese Americans, OCA-Asian Pacific American Advocates is a 501(c)(3) national membership organization advancing the sociopolitical and holistic well-being of AANHPIs. With over 30 chapters and affiliates around the country, we engage in policy advocacy, coalition building, grassroots organizing and leadership training to empower the next generation of leaders and to promote the safety and inclusion of the AANHPI community.
